2010 has been a very, very strange year in the life of a Dublin fan. Today represents an opportunity for some ghosts to be layed to rest.

The league campaign was to say the least, full of talking points both good and bad. Any campaign that includes beating Kerry and Tyrone in their own back gardens, but losing out on a league final on the last day.  Many bemoaned the style of football it took to get us there. But new players were found, and with a couple of rough diamonds in O’Sullivan and McAuley, things were not all doom and gloom s they first appeared. On that note, is anyone else uncomfortable with having a player called Michael Dara.  I have to admit, it’s all bit too Tae and hang sangwiches for me. I, like most people just prefer Michael, Mick, Micko (ok, maybe not Micko), or may I even suggest Mixer. “Mixer McAuley”.
