Its amazing how these 'players' fall to the ground as if they were shot and as soon as the referee has decided upon the incident they get straight back up.

The diving stuff is terrible, but is a natural development from all the sly digs and tactical fouling going on in the game. It has been the case for years, but now it's worse. The dirt in Gaelic Football has been allowed get out of hand, and the sad conclusion to it, like in soccer, is that referees will be made blow up, card and send off more players, and the video evidence will be used even more, and we'll end up with a game almost devoid of any contact being allowed.

Really hope that Kerry and Tyrone meet in this year's All-I championship (except the final), it could be Ali-Frazier with nobs on.

Just on the photo - looks shopped to me. There's no way all of those people, some of them facing towards where DOS and the Derrytresk player are, could either not have noticed an altercation nor would not have started to move towards the pair with at least concern on their faces and the intent to intervene.
A punch like what appears to be happening in the photo would hardly have come out of the blue. The Derrytresk man looks like a figure in an animation action shot. And Declan should be tested for evidence of having been medicated with babboon enhancer

That being the case Al, why hasn't the authenticity of the photo been challenged? The only query was on the timing of the release!

Probably because the illegal babboon/arm treatment thing is true! ;)

Good point Firefly. It's a mystery. "The Invisible Men"? Had all the onlookers been zapped by the men in black? Maybe it happened, but not those two players and not in that position. Was the photo of the punch shopped onto another photo/background???

Agree there no place for this sort of carry on in the club game or the association as a whole. Pity they didnt take a strong stance on the Kildare/Monaghan game as well.

It has been reported that Monaghan will be forced to play their next home league game away as a punishment for there recent mêlée with Kildare.

Allot less serious an incident Anchorman. Where I do think there needs to be a serious clamp down is with any non players making contact with a player, in my mind Geezer should have got a ban.

Geezer and the kildare selector although I think he did get a ban. It was a less serious incident Hopper but doesn't excuse it free for alls with the players is just as bad to watch for the casual observer.

The thing in the club game was the players coming in from the stands which was a complete farce. Just shows how easy a game could lose all control and some serious injuries could have happened.

I saw this link on another site

Nasty stuff but, it must be said, there has been as bad in club matches here.

Was the whole match like this - I haven't seen any other clips.

As for Joe Duffy, that man should be ...

looks like it was all handbags!
