very harsh lads! i think he's learnt an awful lot already in the last 12 months. he's learnt to play in half the space he used to need, to contribute when not scoring

That's not much use if he's suspended. Talented fella but really needs to keep his composure.

I wouldnt agree DC gets any more 'attention' than any other Dublin forward. In fact ive seen most of them get kicked pulled and dragged all over pictches on numerous occasions.

Its his reaction to such 'attention' is where the problem lies. While id suggest he recieves no more foul play than the others his reaction is certainly different. Talented, very much so. But unless he learns he will become a liability. But ive every confidence he will follow the likes of Ger Brennan and sort himself out.

To be fair, he deserves some punishment at least. If it was one of the flour bags dropping the knee on one of our lads there'd be blue murder

I've watched the incident back a few times now and it's impossible to tell if he did it on purpose or if he tripped. If he gets a ban it will a complete joke if Kavanagh doesn't!

Hope he does a bit better than Ger, Ger was blessed not to walk in the final, he could have easily been given a straight red twice in the game, both incidents he was involved in were at least yellows, maybe red would have been harsh, but he would have had nobody else but himself to blame had he been given a red.

I dont think its fair to make a complete judgement on Ger based on the final. I assume your referring to the O'Sullivan and Donaghy incidents. Well he shouldnt of raised his hand to Donaghy but the O'Sullivan incident is very interpretative. O'Sullivan was certainly falling when he met Ger and he didnt raise his arm in that incident. It looked bad but i dont see where he did a whole lot wrong, he was entitled to stand his ground.

Within context, Ger has significantly improved his discipline. He will continue to be a player who is continuously cautioned as he is a combative player in a combative position. But in terms of lashing out off the ball i feel he has by and large got over that. DC should follow suit!

I am not having a go at him, but the Donaghy incident was downright stupid, even though it worked out in our favour, and how the ref didn`t give him a second yellow, only the ref knows. I think Bastic would be a better role model.

Didn't Cork play McGrath Cup Final today?  If a challenge was played yesterday it would be pointless trying to read anything into it.

He was lucky with the Donaghy incident alright (as were we!), but the earlier incident wasn't even a foul.  If you watch the replay the Kerry player with the ball loses his footing and slips into Brennan before Brennan touches him.  Brennan was braced for a shoulder charge, and couldn't pull back in time.
