Adult Football League 3 (AFL3) 2017

Come on the boughal,

Lets hope the weather is not as bad down in Wexford or we may bring our wellies

If its raining, stick the match programe on your head for shelter.

Boughal v barr贸g this Sunday in boughal

Boughal will be hard to beat in their own ground. Very tight pitch. Which suits them.

This game might be a week or two early for boughal if the lads might be carrying a couple of knocks from their run. Barr贸g have had a lot to look at and plenty of prep time. I wouldn鈥檛 like to call it, but reckon it鈥檚 a good opportunity for barr贸g to catch them.
Hope the pitch is ok :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

When was Barrogs last competitive game? Very hard to keep lads interest when you鈥檙e due to play game without a confirmed date for so long.

About a month ago they bet Finbars. Heard they鈥檝e been playing challenge games against U21 teams which is better then nothing but still not the same as competitive games.

They played our Inters a couple of weeks ago.

I agree long gap doesn鈥檛 help 6/8 weeks at a guess. Their level of training has been at a very high standard and with a win guaranteeing promotion all the incentive you need

Not with the chance to go back senior league , they鈥檒l be looking at this like a county final and I鈥檇 say they鈥檝e been training like dogs. As a neutral I鈥檝e only ever seen barrog play a few times and never seen boughal play but it would be great to see them playing senior ball , best of luck to both teams

How did that match go?

Fair enough.

Having been in the exact same situation this year, its mentally tough to focus on a game that you dont know when its gonna be played. Lesser players (like me) may tend to switch off a bit.

Hard to know what way its gonna go. You can make arguements for both sides

Boughal may be a bit banged up, mentally scarred after last week. Or you can say that games are better than training.

Barrog: Will they be fresh and ready or really really rusty.

They beat us by 3 or 4 points. They played our lads on a Monday and then we were out again on the Friday for the Inter Final so everyone was given a run out. Barrog were moving well though.

I鈥檇 have boughal down as slight favourites simply because of home advantage. Boughal is probably the hardest place to go to in division 3 for any team they haven鈥檛 lost there all year.

A little reminder for neutrals of game tomorrow in ballyboughal should be good, and
Best of luck to both teams and supporters too.

Wasn鈥檛 able to get there today any update or result? Just heard congratulations to all from boughal

Ballyboughal 1-9 Naomh Barrog 0-6

There was a big crowd this morning

Congrats Boughal especially Gerry!
