FT Galway 1-14 Kerry 1-10

Galway just ran over the top of Kerry in the 2nd half scoring the opening 6 points and didn’t look back really. They looked the much fitter team as well. Despite all that Kerry were only down by 2 with around 8 minutes left but they looked bereft of ideas. Megan Glynn tacked on 2 late scores to seal the points for Galway. Olivia Divilly may have not scored a point but her willingness to run and cover huge amounts distance got her the player of the match

What a difference a weeks make for Waterford! Definitely in the quarter finals now with that points disparity against Monaghan.

Dragging Tyrone and Donegal down to Mullingar just to make a tv double header … bit mad?

Galway and Mayo advanced today to face each other in All Ireland semi final. Fancy Mayo to possibly turn around their Connaught Final defeat. Their experience in Croke Park will be a massive advantage to them.

2 late changes for Mayo with Fiona Doherty and Aileen Gilroy coming in.

GOAL for Galway from Mairead Seoighe 3 min in.

GOAL for Mayo from Rachel Kearns after a great kick pass by Aileen Gilroy

Galway GOAL minutes later and its Mairead Seoighe again after a pass across by Megan Glynn

Galway 2-2 Mayo 1-1 with 15 min gone.

HT Galway 2-5 Mayo 1-6

Interesting to see the ref consistently blowing for barging, you could only imagine how often the men’s game would stop he was in charge.

Only 2 scores between both teams in this 2nd half but its been very interesting. Niamh Kelly with a brilliant solo and goal for Mayo. Sinead Cafferky could of got another goal them for them 60 seconds later but had her shot saved by Lisa Murphy.

Megan Glynn shorly after hit the post when a goal was on as well.

Galway 2-6 Mayo 2-6 43 min

Rachel Kearns and Roisin Leonard trading scores.

Olivia Divilly sin binned for bringing down Niamh Kelly. Nevermind she wasn’t sin-binned but certainly is on her last warning.

Galway 2-9 Mayo 2-9 55 min

What the heck was that call at the end. I am absolutely baffled that was given as a free out.

Two hops before she was assaulted by the Galway defence

Louth are comfortably on top 1-6 - 0-2 over Fermanagh at ht in the Junior Final. Kate Flood with a brilliant goal for Louth.

GOAL Fermanagh! Lisa Maguire 1-9 - 1-3 now.

Goal of the Day so far! Niamh Rice hits a rasper into the bottom corner. Moments earlier Lauren Boyle scored a great point.
