Cheers. Quarter final this week. Last week was a prelim

#186

AHL3 playoffs could be anytime so. Good luck on Saturday!

#187

Cheers.

Scoil still have two games to play so the playoffs could be another month away yet.

Nothing like a good hurling game in the snow and ice of O Toole park on a cold Sunday morning in November

It’s what you train for …

Isles V Trumera postponed. Pitch is playable but Trumera said they could not travel due to weather. They had tried to get the game rearranged earlier in the week so it looks like they got their way.

One of the Erins Isle camogie players just happened to be married in Portlaoise yesterday and those who are travelling back from the wedding today are saying the roads are fine.

I suppose it pays to have ex Gaa president Liam O Neill as a member when you are trying to get games cancelled

Thats a joke.

Isles beat Trumera by 4. 2-11 to 2-7. Isles were cruising at one stage after the Trumera keeper was sent off for a typical Laois challenge. Isles switched off halfway through the second half and let them back into the game. Fethard at home next for Isles in the semi final

#192

Well done. Best of luck in the semis.

#193

Good to see Isles on the way up again. Well done to all involved and good luck in the semi.

#194

+1 Be great to see them do it in their centenary year.

Cheers lads. The Leinster competition is just a bonus. The main aim was to get out of the junior championship and get competitive in the league after 3-4 shocking years hurling wise. With the football in a bad way also I reckon there will be a major push on the big ball to be the main sport in the club again next year with new management coming in. But the hurling lads will keep plugging away

Congrats to isle winning the league also.Junior champs and inter league champs👍🏼

Isles were beaten by Fethard 1-19 to 3-7. Isles started great and were leading 0-7 to 0-4 after 20 minutes but then had a player sent off. Fethard took over and scored 1-14 without reply over the next 30 minutes and were cruising. Isles had a second man sent off after 50 minutes but got a burst of energy from somewhere and scored 3 goals in the next 5 minutes to get back in the game. Isles had a few more goal chances before the end but dogged defending and the two extra men were enough for Fethard.

All in all a good season all round for Isles. Hopefully they can keep improving in 2018
