Football at the top level is so rotten it’s hard to have a serious conversation about any one detail. Nevertheless I think this appointment is either going to add serious damage to the “United brand”, or be the end of JM as a really top manager. Or both.

Mind you Real Madrid came out the other side ok, so far, it seems. Then again, they were/are Real Madrid. Not sure if ManU with the image they have/had will absorb this as well

I suppose Real have a longer history of changing managers quickly, so we’re more used to them doing it. Added to that, they continue to pick up European cups along the way regardless. Utd are doing a better job of catching up on the former rather than the latter.
