They'd want to be going up in the league having gone up in the championship.

They'll regret it next year. Division 3 league won't be great preparation for Senior 2 championship. Definitely not looking to the future if true .

They were down to the bare bones after playing games every week and alot of lads with knocks. They'll probably never get a chance to compete for an intermediate again and it seems as a team they decided to take a break and go again next week. Its a pity the co board wouldn't refix the game but what can you do. I'm sure the decision wasn't taking lightly. Basically down so Many bodies they'd have got beaten by fins and have more injuries for next week.

The county board belittled Raheny, Mearnog, Judes and Craobh dragging the first pair to Crumlin for a senior final and the latter getting there Senior final postponed while an abuse of power led to a team training on Parnell Park two nights before the senior 2 final was due to take place.

Scheduling a league promotion playoff 6 days before representing your county in a Leinster semi final is insulting to Mearnóg as a team who have just come off 3 hard weeks. This would have made it 5 weeks with no let up, county board refused postponing a league play off that Mearnóg won anyway

County Board could have easily pushed this out until Mearnógs where finished in Champo.

Personally, I’d have played it, match is as good as a Training session, although, as said above, Mearnógs have lads trying to get back from knocks etc and be right for Leinster. Plus as a Manager you’d want to have your strongest Team for both Champo & Promotion playoffs.

You'd have to wonder with the county board sometimes. Absolutely no rush it playing this game. Surprised Mearnogs didn't go rasher and try everything to get it put off.

Wouldn't condone conceding a playoff final in most circumstances but how often is a Leinster semi final going to come around for that group.
