Raheny top of division 2 must fancy their chances, some good young players and building well.
-
Raheny to win it for me, followed very closely by syls or isles for promotion.
-
Two evenly matched groups thankfully.
Based on league form there are a couple of teams in this who will struggle, including O'Tooles and Cuala 2.
Raheny are my strong favourites and have no excuse for not making at least a final. My 2nd favourites are Erins Isle who have been building nicely in recent years.
-
-
Raheny clear favorites here after winning 11 out of 11 games in AHL2. Group 1 will be tight with Erin's Isle , Setanta and Syls vying for top spot imo
-
I can't see Syls or Setanta getting close to Raheny myself. I think Isles at home might give them a game with everyone, possibly.
-
Yeah I think you are correct. I meant Group 1 will be tight to see who wins it, thus avoiding Raheny until a final.
-
Setanta lost to Raheny in the League by one point.
-
Isles, Syls and Setanta to come out of Group 1. Hard to predict the order but I think a full strength Isles will top the group from what I’ve seen of them over the last few years. Syls have both games at home and Setanta have both away but they got a win and a draw away to both in the league.
In Group 2 I think raheny will beat all 4 teams comfortably, surprised that they didn’t get out of this championship last year but they are big favourites this year after the great league campaign. I think it’s a toss up for the other 2 spots in Group 2, I’ll go with Mearnog and na fianna. Scoil and O’Tooles have both struggled in the league but hard to write either off over the years
-
-
After going undefeated in AHL 2, Raheny will be strong favorites to go up in 2023. Arguably should've been promoted last year but lost in that semifinal to Clontarf at home. Mearnog only promoted this year to senior level after winning that Intemediate hurling final replay over St Sylvester's.
-
All home wins for me except Olafs as Syls have had the better of them for a few years now
-
Naomh Olaf beat Sylvester's by 8 in Sandyford. Good start for them. The only other game moved up from Sunday.
-
Surprised at that. Good for Olafs though.
-
Syls missing a lot of players. 1 minor started and another came on as a sub and one of the coaches had to come on in the second half as a sub
Olafs much the better team. Their forwards were good and Leavy was dangerous, scored a couple of the goals
