In many ways the bazunu transfer didn’t help him as city saw Southampton coming in that one and got a ridiculous fee for effectively a league one keeper

Liverpool wouldn’t let him go for less which is completely unfair . Allison is one of the best keepers in the world . Hasn’t a chance against him.

Richard Wright played the guts of 100 league games. He went to City at the end of his career to get a good pension fund . He probably played 300 games between Premier League and Championship. Totally different to Kelleher situation who has probably playe 7 league games in 7 years

Played 3 times in the previous 3 years before he went to city too. But take the overall point

Caoimhin has it made. Eventually he will start somewhere but in the interim the readies keep rolling in and as he is not playing that often there's less chance of getting injured.

Your comparing a retired players stats to a player who realistically has 12 - 15 years of his career still ahead of him. That sort of comparison can only be made when Kelleher has retired

I didn't make the original comparison. I actually said the two situations can't be compared

It may ultimately depend on what his actual level is. It's a tough gig being No.1 in a lower PL club and the possible relegation cohort has never been higher. If he could get a gig at a better PL club then he should move but that may not be on the cards.
