You’re making that up, Shirley!
Club a Go Go?
Jets: & the Boot inn ,the old Airport road
Did a lot of my socialising in Drogheda those days. Lucianos was a bit better than Thee place/fantasy gardens. Not sure if you are old enough to have enjoyed the pleasures of The Kasbah or Jodis, both in Julianstown back in the day. The kasbah was rough as ■■■■ at times. You could get the shift or a hiding anytime you went there, and you could never tell which outcome was more likely until it was happening
No, don’t recognise either of those names, so they must have been before my time!
Fantasy gardens !! Maybe the hiding was the shift .
Yeah, the nite club in the Rosnaree hotel went inder both names at different stages. It’s a nursing home now which probably sums up everything
Still probably attract a few on here to go…
Yeah, very early 80’s for both of them. Long gone now but the memories, or nightmares remain.
You could get the shift or a hiding anytime you went there
In Jets, you could get both at the same time
Of course not and Dont be calling me surely.
And Samantas was another.
Was never in any of the infamous clubs in Leeson street. I was in howl at the moon once, for a work do. I think it was a free bar for some of the night, so can’t remember much of it, apart from not making it home to Skerries and the bird I was going out with back then breaking up with me because of it. Bullet dodged!
Before this thread closes is up just a few more photos from a couple Sundays ago that I forgot to post.

People tend to forget that for some lads it is a first and probably means a lot to them
