It begins tonight. Derry the defending champions. Armagh look to bounce back for their relegation from Division 1 with their first Anglo-Celt Cup in 15 years. They play Antrim in the preliminary round match.
Antrim and Armagh on BBC2.
It will be interesting to see how Armagh bounce back from their relegation but I think it might well be a Tyrone v Cavan final in Ulster.
When will the next game be for the loser of Antrim v Armagh? Must be a decent break of next game isnât until AI series/Tailteann
Is that Philly co-commentator for this game?
Yep.
Which bbc2?
yes
Iâm lost âPorridgeâ on mine at present.
Antrim are brutal.
BBC Two NI
Presume thatâs not possible on my Virgin box ? Excuse my lack of tech awareness.
Maybe I wonât bother
I have virgin media tv. BBC2 HD (109) is showing a match âŚ.on Porridge. BBC2 NI (709) is also showing the same match on Porridge. Much as I enjoy Fletcherâs antics in prison Iâd prefer to watch Armagh v Antrim.
Is it a VM f⌠up or a GAA rights issue? Are they blocking Ulster matches from being shown this side of the border?
Antrim direct running causing Armagh bother.
Rafferty the Armagh goalie is a liability under the high ball.
Was at the game, great little stadium up there . Would love one like it in Dublin
Rafferty will need to be told to stay in his goal under high ball or teams will exploit it
BBC signed up Philly and MM this yr.
MM has the obvious advantage when covering ulster teams. But heâs good at flagging up stuff. Esp from a forwardâs perspective.
Philly co-commentated with GAA Go. He got a few of the players name wrongâŚto be expected! But seemed very comfortable covering the game and youâre interested in what he says because of whatâs heâs won.
Good to see players who played for so long stay around. And hopefully make a few quid.
The Oak Leafers travel to Enniskillen to begin their defense of the Anglo-Celt Cup.
Fermanagh v Derry teams
Sean Quigley not named in the 26.
Conor Glass listed to start. Eoin McEvoy isnât but weâll see who actually lines out. Ciaran McFaul has returned to the Derry senior football set up which is great news for Rory Gallagher.
