Dublin U21 Club Hurling Championship 2017

That time of year again for the U21 championships to start up. Football due to start off on October 21st and hurling on October 28th.

The usual farce of play or concede. Games will be clashing with AHL and AFL games on the Saturdays so I don’t understand why they expect some clubs to be able to play 2 different games at the same time involving some of the same players

A few noticeable absentees! Pats Palmerstown, Parnells, St Maurs (current C Champions). Do Clubs think that it is not worth the entrance fee?

Maybe a lot of that winning team are over age now

Maurs are involved in AHL 4 playoffs which might mean a clash.

Parnells didn’t have a minor hurling team the last 3 years or so. They had one this year.

Pats would be similar to Parnells

Great to see Wild Geese Good Counsel and Kevin’s fielding u21 teams

It’s our (wild geese) second time ever entering a under 21 team.

It’s great to see teams field a 21 team that struggle for numbers like the few mentioned above.

It’s a shame that some other clubs, with decent underage teams don’t play at A level.

A drop from 9 teams to 7 in the A champ is disappointing.

Setanta beat Ballyboden in first round of C championship last night.

I presume Isles have given Whitehall a walkover in the C

Barrs beat Clontarf 2-16 to 0-15 in the B

Other notable absentees are Naomh Barrog & O’Toole’s.

Surprised by Barrógs. Very good minor team 2yrs ago.

Barrog playing otooles in the C next Wednesday evening
