Dublin v Kilkenny- Round 4 - Allianz Hurling League Roinn 1 Sat, March 5th, 2022 at 17:00 Parnell Park

Win here and we’re setup nicely for a semi final, would be great to lay down a marker of sorts for the championship

Reasonably confident which is always dangerous when it comes to Dublin hurling

The bookies even have us as slight favs !

Few of the Ballyhale lads be back I reckon. Maybe not all. TJ was carrying an injury I think, wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a little more time.

TJs off in Dubai

There should be a rattling good crowd in Parnell. I’m looking forward to it.

I absolutely can’t wait for a packed Parnell park.
Nothing better in my opinion

Hopefully another good performance.

If we were to lose, how are fixed regarding reaching a league final?

Think i read its top 2 to semi final? So all to play for regardless of this weekend

Less of that negative talk here please.

This isn’t the football section

What a boost it will be to this bunch of lads if they beat
Kilkenny on Saturday and they are well capable of doing
it going on their performances so far this year.
Can’t wait for the game in a packed Parnell Park hopefully.
Would most be happy with the same starting 15 that started against
Tipp?

Went down last week more in hope

This week I’m more expectant especially with TJ unavailable

Really it’s a game we should be winning

That’s usually when my arse gets burned with the hurlers

There are a few caveats

  • Parnell park won’t suit our inside forwards
  • our shooting from range is still bang average

It wasnt in the Walsh Cup though so its there. Its not down to any pressure because all shots for distance have no pressure from opposition these days.
Im putting it down to the poxy wind!

It’s a game we should be in with a chance of winning. I wouldn’t jump straight into he should be winning category. Kilkenny are still a formidable enough outfit.

At home minus TJ and we have nearly all our full whack though is as good a chance as we will get

I think Tipp are better then Kilkenny myself

Agree but that’s different from “should beat” … in my head anyways

Won’t be much change in team that started against tip . He might start Dillon instead of mellett other that unless someone picked up a knock, Dublin to win by 3-5 points

I’d agree with Jack. We have a right to think ‘We are better than them on current form. They are missing their best (by a mile) player. We therefore expect to beat them and ahould do so’. There is no longer anything to fear, at the sight of a Kilkenny jersey.
