Fair play - that slipped my mind. There must be very few counties we have never played in the football championship. Maybe just Waterford?
That may be our only ever championships meeting with Sligo . Waterford , have we ever played a league game even against them ?

I was at the Sligo match defo was nt at the Waterford one .

Think New York is the only ‘county’ we haven’t played in SFC, we did play them in league though - once; in 1964 and they won!

could the sheep pull off a surprise and bate the rossies and finish 3rd in the group provided we bate that team comin in under the radar

I think all four teams can mathematically finish first and last, but I would say the most logical is we win the group, Rossies second and the flourbags third
For that to happen I think it would most likely mean we come second at best. Well that is assuming both Kildare and Sligo lose, I think Kildare might fancy their chances against the Rossies, they won’t fear them like they fear us, Rossies favs though.

I believe Davy Burke applied 2or3 times for the Kildare Job and turned down on all occasions. I hope he and the Rossies beat Kildare.
