Favourite County Players (H)

Same as the football thread. If possible list down one player from each county(including New York, London) who you have seen play, be it live or on tv who you would call your favourite player of all time from that county. They can be from any era and play in any position.

Seanie Johnston Kildare

Dont think ive seen enough of other counties to comment. Im not sure these are all even the best Ive seen from he counties but I think they are most likely the ones I enjoyed watching most…impossible task really thinking of 1. Example John Troy Jesus the skill level but then it means leaving out Whelehan etc

Bennett prob the strangest call but I think in the coming years hell go down as a great. His skill work and vision are ridiculous

Wicklow - Played against a the Bray Emmets before, few good hurlers
Leitrim - I marked the young lad that place for Thomas Davis if that counts!

will change Tony kelly for Brian Lohan, best full back ever for me

Joe?? Connolly Rabbitte Cooney Canning??

Jonathan ‘Bosco’ O’Neill arguably the best ever wicklow hurler. Would have been much more in the spotlight if playing with a more mainstream county.

Probably only father to play Inter county with his son I’d say.

The great Joe C

Antrim Sambo. I had the pleasure of being at that final versus Tipp in 89 as a wee nipper.

Rest v tough, almost impossible. Tried to do one from the past, one modern.

Cork Sean Og Pat Horgan

Limerick C Carey C Lynch
Tipperary B Maher N McGrath

Kilkenny H Shefflin TJ Reid
Offally B Whelahan Joe Dooley
Dublin C Keaney S Hiney
Wexford M Storey R O Connor
Galway T Keady C Whelan

Leinster means John Troy stickman, Adrian Fenlon on the ground, Keaney in the air, JJ everywhere, Marty Kavanagh, Derek McNicholas and any of the Rigneys.
Up north, Sambo, Martin Clarke Down keeper and big Geoffrey McGonigle and the way he took frees! Connacht is Michael Coleman- a beast
In Munster throw up Paul top-spin Flynn, Teddy Mc with altitude, Ciaran Carey with attitude, Liam Doyle - bloomed unseen, Tommy Dunne and the lazy, brilliant goal and any Brick from Kerry.
