Help with fundraiser for NYC Dub seriously injured in fire

A friend of mine, Barry Foley, from Dublin here in NYC was badly injured in an apartment explosion back in April, and I’m helping organize a fundraiser. One of the ideas we had was to try to get a shirt signed by some of the current Dublin squad that we could raffle off in The Halfway Line (the bar in Woodside hosting the fundraiser).

I figured if I started a thread on this on here, someone would either know some current players, or at least be able to point me to someone who might be able to help with getting an autographed shirt.

For a bit more info, here’s a story from a local paper here about the accident:

To avoid confusion, I should note that the fundraiser referenced in the article has already happened, and is separate from our one. The one I’m helping with will take place in the Woodside bar The Halfway Line.

If you feel so inclined, there’s also a Gofundme page to help with covering Barry’s medical expenses (I think it’s run by his family; it’s not connected to the fundraiser I’m involved in),here:

Anyway, Barry is one of our own, and he’s going to have a lot of medical bills, so any help would be great, and much appreciated.

A tragic story and he is definitely one of our own. His nephew lining out at wing forward for the minor hurlers at the weekend.

II’d say if you contact DCB (maybe Mossy Quinn) they’d certainly oblige.

Cheers Rebus, I’ll give it a go.

Well, the Dubs came through with the signed jersey, thanks to Fiona Waters the Dublin PRO!

If any of youse are in NYC Sunday 28th October, you might consider heading over to Woodside and The Halfway Line bar for music, food, and auctions/raffles.
