Compared to the amount that went out very few made any impact at all.

Stynes, Tuohy and Kennelly the only significant ones. Stynes in particular.

A lot of them players that came back played very little inter county too.

One or two others have done well. Setanta O hAilpin. Conor McKenna. Pearse Hanley.

I think a lot of fellas had had no idea how hard it was going to be. Raises the issue too as to why so many AFL clubs took on so many Irish lads considering their chances of success were poor enough

I count 4 lads from Ballyboden st Endas.

Squad strength. Same in all top level pro sports. In fact in gah also, quite a few on panels will not get to play in serious games
