Is the word Laoch losing all meaning at this stage
Luchre Gael in some cases there.
Whoâs undeserving?
Weâre hard up for heroes if Aidan OâMahony is making the cut
Have to remember there are lots of GAA people would run a mile if asked to do that programme. OâMahony a pure media whore at this stage, as footballer achieved a hell of a lot as a very average intercounty player.
Even as a Mayo man I have to ask Tom Parsons??? Great role model and done very well to come back from injury but I wouldnât even have him in the top 10 Mayo players in the last decade. He didnât even win an All StarâŚ
Surely Paul Brogan will be in next years one as plunkets version of Michael Flatley.
He is a lovely fella and his come back from injury is fantastic story on its own, but not even in the top 3 of the team he played on. Did he ever win an all star, not the be all and end all but an indicator. Again some still involved and others dont have a media profile. Of all Mayo players id like to have seen Keith Higgins great player for club and county,
Nowt a Dub in sight
As players go only Joe from that list is a laochra
Anna Geary be next
I think who is deserving is a better question there
His Holiness Jim Gavin surely deserving of one
Is Parsons the first Sligo man to feature on Laochra Gael
Probably unless they featured Mickey Kearns ?
They did. Micky Kearns was in series 6
Eamonn O Hara was also featured
Probably did the editing himself
So parsons is the 3rd Sligo man then.
Parsons born in MayoâŚ.then again so was Dermot Earley
