Danny have the legs for thatā¦still? Be great if he did. Playing beside Purcell would help I suppose. Centre back or full forward id be looking at him.

Could be an option, Boland has played midfield in the past, would think him & Danny would be better option. Purcell has only played midfield with Crokes this year as far as Iāve seen, personally think Purcell is better closer to goal.

One thing for sure weād all agree on was the lack of pace all over the team last year. In particular the middle 8. Purcell and maybe Davey Crowe would certainly improve things. Cian Boland back helps too. The big Cork lad looks no slouch aswell.

5 from play. I havenāt seen a Dub rip a top kilkenny side apart with such ease in a long time. If its one thing defenders hate its blistering pace.

Jake malone still involved?
Watched it back last night and he was on receiving end of a fairly agricultural tackle from behind, few mins before the break. Got up grand but wonder if he felt it in the dressing room. Looks in great condition this year. Needs an injury free run needless to say, the 2 goals on Sunday were superb.

Actually, Paddy Doyle is playing for DCU Freshers I think, so COS is not the only one playing both.
Not made an appearance yet, but neither has Smyth or Danny so could be injured I suppose.

Canāt see Malone getting into the team if heās involved. What is the story with Danny, is he injured or just being minded for later on?
Was he he not cut as part of the cull ?
Danny is on his way back from injury according to someone here - back light training a couple of weeks ago so should be around before the end of the league.

Good player, a victim of his own versatility at times maybe, never really nailed down a place without doing much wrong.

Donāt think heās a county-grade corner forward TBH, not against the top 6 types of teams anyway, can do a job around the HF line alright. In theory, midfield ought to suit him as he works hard and has a good engine to get up and down but he didnāt have a massive influence at the weekend, maybe he can get better there with a few games. Itās a problem position lets face it.
