U20 Football Championship 2021 (the field)

Derry 0:11 v 2:09 Monaghan Full time Score.

Winner of this one will be one of the favorites for Ulster. I went for Tyrone coming into this. They conceded a goal in the opening minutes but settled down afterwards,

The Sean Boylan effect seems to working for Down in Breffni Park. All over Cavan after 30 minutes.

Fermanagh 2:10 Antrim 0:08 53 mins played.

Cavan clipping plenty of wides. Down crowding defence and breaking at pace.

Down 2:15 Cavan 0:08 points in play.

Fermanagh defeat Anrim by and now play Down in an Ulster semifinal next weekend. Good boost for two football counties that desperately needed it.

Tyrone 1-9 Donegal 1-12
Derry 0-11 Monaghan 2-9
Fermanagh 2-13 Antrim 0-10
Cavan 0-9 Down 2-17.

Ulster semi-finals
Donegal v Monaghan
Fermanagh v Down.

Tyrone and Donegal seem to get drawn against each other early at every level. Hmmm …

Munster semi final
Cork v kerry.
Tipperary v Waterford.

Leinster semi finals
Offaly v Westmeath
Dublin v Meath

Tipperary u-20 footballers being managed by Paddy Christie defeated Limerick 0-16 - 1-10. Big chance for either the Premier County or the Deise to get to a provincial final. Not completely ruling out Waterford after scoring 4 goals in their 4-5 - 1-9 win over Clare.

Connacht semi finals
Roscommon v Sligo
Galway v mayo

Galway and Mayo went the full distance in Tuam with Mayo coming out on top through penalties after 80 minutes. Seems like James Horan is happy for Jack Carney to focus solely on the u20’s this year. @mayoman

That’s great info folks. I’d have to wade through all kinds of shite to get all those results and bits of reports on one page. The official GAA website is a disaster. Thanks.

Has the teams been named

Roscommon beat Sligo comfortably to set up a Connacht final with Mayo next week.

Good man TG4. Fair play to them. Front and centre whenever they are given the opportunity.
